We carry on with the US Supreme court mandate that all children should have a free and adequate education "socialization" skills are a necessary adjunct if men are to be seen as equals. That statement is more true and necessary today. Counselors meet these needs and more in the education setting.

Indigent services program has more than doubled

Last month, the number of residents qualifying for the county's medically indigent services program had more than doubled that of the preceding four years. Nearly 16,650 residents had qualified for the program by the end of June, up from a little more than 8,100 people who had qualified in June 2006.
